About Lex

A native Londoner, I originally took up my yoga practice as a remedy for the stresses of an urban existence and a childhood back injury.
In 2005, inspired by what I had discovered, I disposed of all my worldly belongings and set off to India on what became a six year journey that took me zigzagging around the world.
During this time I studied and taught many yoga disciplines, healing, psychology, meditation. Along with my background in neuro-linguistic programming and music, I combined all these tools to create a yoga practice that is interdisciplinary, distinctive and respectful of the simplicity and purity of ancient yogic principles.

"Thanks for another brilliant session.
Cant wait for the next one"

“Thanks again Lex for a really rigorous, exacting and delightful class.
I love the pace of your classes: absolutely perfect, and just the right balance between pranayama, asana and dharana.”

“I wanted to thank you so much for the great class this morning. I felt so uplifted and a huge shift in my stubborn old psoas"

I have been doing hatha yoga for about 2 years and had many different teachers in that time in a number of different scenarios. Lex has the perfect mix of knowledge and experience combined with a lightness of approach that kept the classes enjoyable rather than intimidating.

His calm voice and superb communication skills mean that I have learnt a huge amount and challenged my body far more than I have felt comfortable to do before.

His knowledge and individual direction of the practicalities of posture for all individuals in the group who varied in age, ability, body type and experience, combined with a thorough understanding of human physiology and an ability to explain and answer simply any question that arose in the course of the practise was superb. It made us all feel that we were in good hands and gave members of the class the confidence to attempt positions that they had never tried before (in my own case under Lex's direction, I managed an unsupported headstand on the fourth day which is not something I ever imagined I'd be able to do!)
